To broaden the horizon in the field of Genomics and Bioinformatics, a group of 17 students participated in the five-day Singapore Study Tour (4-8 January 2016) which was accomplished with full of laugh and fruitfulness. The schedule was tight yet, students were thrilled to have opportunities to visit Genome Institute of Singapore (GIS), School of Computing in National University of Singapore (NUS) and School of Biological Sciences in Nanyang Technological University (NTU).
Students were amazed by the talks given from many principal investigators in GIS and professors in NUS and NTU, particularly Prof. Hon Wai Leong of NUS who inspired them to enjoy computational thinking to do computational biology well. Apart from attending innovative talks, students were honored to have opportunities to be familiar with the latest researches performing in GIS as well as the latest technologies and facilities.
